If you've lived in a small town you might have noticed that many services are difficult to provide on a town-sized scale. There is a lot of pressure to regionalize services - schools, police and fire, etc - to achieve a reasonable cost per taxpayer. That same economy of scale has made it harder for towns to provide the same quality of websites as cities. Custom web development has been expensive, and without a lot of people to spread that cost out over, the cost of producing a quality website has often been prohibitive. However, we think current and emerging technology can make it possible to provide high quality services - in particular, a website that rivals some of the better websites developed for small cities - on a smaller budget. We've chosen to work with an open-source framework for most of our clients that want to develop town websites, and to contract with web hosts that can provide secure and robust service at a low cost. Where a traditional web developer might seek to land a single city as a client, we'd prefer to provide services to 50 towns. Service is our first priority, so we have to roll out slowly, to make sure each of our clients gets our full attention during the up-front design, development, and training phase. We won't take on a new website unless we've got the resources available to maintain quality of service. If you'd like to enquire about our services, please use the contact form. Thanks.
